Apartment visuals and virtual tour
Personal
During my final year dissertation project for my degree, I created a virtual tour architectural visualisation tool. This involved creating the base model of the apartment in SolidWorks, followed by set dressing and lighting, and implementing interactive functionality using C++ Blueprints.
C++ Blueprints were also used to develop virtual reality functionality, allowing for seamless integration of both immersive and non-immersive forms of navigation. This project was nominated for the Tiger Awards by Bournemouth University.
Assets were either created by me in Blender or sourced from 3D Sky, with tile able textures also created by me.
The floor plan of the apartment was developed in SolidWorks.
Rendering was completed using Unreal Engine 5 with path tracing.
The virtual tour itself was built within Unreal Engine 5, with functionality implemented using C++ through Blueprint scripting (see images at the bottom for an example of the code).
